Fults Ranch home of Metallic Cat

Designed as a way to say thank you to those supporting Metallic Cat’s breeding career, Alvin and Becky Fults created an incentive program that has grown to not only include the West Texas Futurity but also one premier reined cow horse event – the National Reined Cow Horse Association Stallion Stakes.

While Metallic Cat’s performance background and bloodlines easily make him popular in the cutting industry, he has also found a strong following within the reined cow horse community. Thanks to the support cow horse enthusiasts have shown for Metallic Cat, the Fultses are excited to explore their stallion’s versatility in different arenas.

West Texas Futurity

August’s West Texas Futurity rings in the much-anticipated futurity season, when 3-year-olds are making their cutting debuts. In the interest of embracing these new athletes in the show pen, the highest-placing Metallic Cat foal in the Futurity Open finals is eligible for a $10,000 bonus.

“This incentive program is truly our way of saying thank you to the industry,” Alvin said. “We hope it will only get bigger and better as the years go.”

NRCHA Stallion Stakes

The NRCHA Stallion Stakes is the second leg of the reined cow horse industry’s five premier events. Held in Las Vegas during the spring, the event offers a $10,000 bonus check to the highest-placing Metallic Cat offspring in the Open Derby finals and $5,000 for the highest-placing Metallic Cat offspring in the Non Pro Derby finals.
